瀬戸内Finderで取材させていただいたところの紹介ばかりになりがちだった、
こちらのブログですが、そろそろ本業のことも少し紹介させてください。
（私の本業とは“英語”を使ったお仕事です）
昨年の11月、東京で行われた大規模な展示会IFFTにて商品を展示されていた、
徳島の木工メーカーの秋月木工さん。
ブースにいらっしゃった韓国のショップさんに商品を「発注します」と言われていたのですが、まさか本当に発注してくるとは思わなかったそうなんです。
でも、展示会後にその韓国のショップさんは、
メールにて本当にチェストをまとめて3台ご発注されました。
村澤一晃さんデザインの美しいJYABARA CHEST。
こちらを店舗にて展示ということで、ナラ材無垢のものと、
MDFで白とチャコールの塗装色のものをご発注でした。
海外からの注文ははじめてで、当然輸出経験もゼロ。
さらに英語で対応できるスタッフもいらっしゃらない秋月木工さんは、
「はて…どうしたものか…」と困っていらっしゃったのです！
そんなとき、ふとバンドゥーの存在を思い出し、
秋月さんに「バンドゥーさんが手伝ってくれるんじゃないかな…」と
紹介してくださった方がおり、秋月さんとバンドゥーがつながることになるのです！

I would like to introduce my "main" business which using my English skill a bit.
One of my first Japanese clients is Akizuki Mokko who showed beautiful chests and cabinets at IFFT in Tokyo last November.
One lady from Korean shop visited their booth and told Mr. Akizuki "we will order your products," but Mr. Akizuki did not take it seriously.
However, the shop ordered 3 chests right after the exhibition!
The beautiful chest called "JYABARA CHEST" is designed by Kazuteru Murasawa, and there are some variations including some colors such as white, charcoal, or even pink!
Akizuki Mokko had never experienced the order from outside of Japan, and it meant they had never done exports to foreign countries.
Also, there is no staffs who can speak English inside of the company.
Mr. Akizuki, the president, was at a loss what to do.
Then, one guy just remembered that "Bang-Do" has just started her own business,
supporting business which requires English skills and experiences of import/export.
And he introduced "Studio Bang-Do!" to Mr. Akizuki, and I happened to help Akizuki Mokko's first export!
